Cheesy Bean and Egg Toasties

Crispy toast piled with baked beans, melty cheddar and a fried egg makes a proper tea.

SHOPPING LIST

• white bread8 slices
• baked beans2 tins
• cheddar cheese150g
• eggs4
• butter2 tbsp
• worcestershire sauce1 tsp

METHOD

1. 1Heat the baked beans in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
2. 2Stir in the worcestershire sauce and half the grated cheddar.
3. 3Butter the bread slices and toast them under a grill on one side.
4. 4Flip the bread, pile the beans on the untoasted side, and top with remaining cheddar.
5. 5Grill until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
6. 6Fry the eggs in a non-stick pan until the whites are set and yolks are runny.
7. 7Serve each toastie topped with a fried egg.
