Question 1

Which supermarket is cheapest for my weekly shop?

Accepted Answer

Beanie prices your own shopping list at every UK supermarket you use — Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose — and shows the total at each. Comparing from prices Beanie has already seen, each shown with the date it was seen, is free. Live shelf prices, which make the cheapest a fact rather than a guess, are part of Beanie Pro.

Question 2

What does Beanie do?

Accepted Answer

Beanie keeps one shopping list, prices it across supermarkets, plans a week of dinners to a budget and, with Beanie Pro, fills your basket at the supermarket you choose. You pay on the supermarket's own website; Beanie never takes payment.

Question 3

Is Beanie free?

Accepted Answer

The shopping list, recipe import, receipt learning and price comparison from prices Beanie has already seen (dated) are free. Live shelf prices, and building and filling the basket for you, need a Beanie Pro subscription.

Question 4

Does Beanie work with ChatGPT or Claude?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beanie connects to AI assistants over the Model Context Protocol, so you can add to your list, compare supermarkets or plan a week of dinners from the assistant you already use.

Question 5

Can Beanie plan meals on a budget?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell Beanie how many people and how much to spend and it plans the week's dinners at your supermarket, priced from real products, and tells you honestly whether the plan fits the budget.

Your whole shop, planned, priced and filled.

Then Beanie prices it at every supermarket
